We believe in the Triune God – God the Father, God the Son (Jesus Christ), and God the Holy Spirit. There is one God that exists in these three persons, often referred to as the Holy Trinity.
Matthew 28:19 1 Corinthians 12:4-6 2 Corinthians 13:14 1 Peter 1:2
We believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only-begotten Son of God, begotten of the Father before all worlds, God of God, Light of Light, Very God of Very God, begotten, not made, being of one substance with the Father by whom all things were made; who for us men, and for our salvation, came down from heaven, and was incarnate by the Holy Spirit of the Virgin Mary and was made man.
Matthew 1:18-23 Luke 1:26-35 John 1:1-5, 9-14, 18
We believe that Jesus came to restore our relationship with the Father. He was crucified for us under Pontius Pilate. He suffered and was buried, and the third day he rose again and ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of the Father making intercession for us. Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life, and no man comes to the Father except by Him.
1 John 3:8 Luke 24:1-9 1 Corinthians 15:1-8 Romans 8:34 John 14:6
We believe that the Holy Spirit is the presence of Christ in the earth today. When a person becomes a believer he receives the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit lives in us and strengthens us to live a life of devotion to Christ.
John 14:15-17 1 Corinthians 3:16 Galatians 5
We believe there is an additional experience with the Holy Spirit that is often referred to as the Baptism in the Holy Spirit. It can also be called the releasing of the Holy Spirit or the empowering of the Holy Spirit. Through this experience we receive special abilities from the Holy Spirit such as speaking in tongues, interpretation of tongues, prophecy, word of knowledge, word of wisdom, faith, the gifts of healing, working of miracles, and discerning of spirits. However, we must not forget that the most important purpose of this second experience with the Holy Spirit is to empower us with boldness to speak his Word and be witnesses for Jesus Christ.
John 15:26 Luke 24:46-49 Acts 2:1-21 Acts 4:24-31 1 Corinthians 12:1-11
We believe that the Bible is the inerrant, infallible Word of God. Holy Scripture contains all things necessary to salvation. All Scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight, for disciplining in righteousness, that the man of God may be fully competent, completely equipped for every good work.
